Diane has been a Registered Veterinary Technician for over 10 years and is also a veterinary technician specialist in Emergency and Critical Care since 2011. To add to her list of credentials, she will soon begin working towards her technician specialty certification in Clinical Practice. She is originally from Maine and a graduate of University of Maryland with a Bachelor’s in Animal Science.
Diane has recently become Fear Free Certified! Fear free visits are a fundamental part of Harbor Point Animal Hospital and is something Diane is passionate about. As a Certified “Fear Free Professional,” she is a trusted resource to help owners deliver calm pets to our hospital, enhance the quality of our medicine as well as reduce or remove anxiety triggers that can cause pets to be fearful at home, in transport and at the veterinary hospital.
Diane has lived in North Carolina for 10 years with her husband, Johnny and shares her home currently with their 3 dogs, Hannah – Chihuahua/Westie mix, Evie – Bichon Frise, Sonoma – Field Spaniel and 2 cats, Dover and Phoenix.
Stephanie is from a small city in Upstate New York called Canandaigua. She moved to North Carolina in January 2013 to escape the cold and to pursue her passion for helping animals. Stephanie has been a Veterinary Assistant since March 2013 and loves to learn new technical skills.
Stephanie shares her heart and home with her two cats, Oliver, a Snowshoe mix, and Felicity, a Domestic Mediumhair. Stephanie has also shared her heart with a Labrador/Husky mix named Maggy, and a thoroughbred horse named Luna, When not working, Stephanie enjoys being outdoors, particularly at the beach.
Sandy is a North Carolina native who grew up and finished her education in Orlando, Florida. As a young adult she moved back to North Carolina and has lived in the Denver area for the last 29 years. Currently Sandy shares her heart with Princess, a German Shepard, and CeeCee, a Jack Russell.
Beyond her passion for animals, she loves serving in her church and community and is continually taking in strays of both the 2-legged and 4-legged variety.
Nicole, born in Detroit, Michigan, moved to North Carolina with her family 20 years ago to escape the cold winters. She has always had a love for animals and knew from an early age that she wanted a career working with pets.
After high school, Nicole pursued a Biology Degree at the University of NC at Greensboro in hopes of utilizing her education to work with and help animals. Shortly after college she relocated to Charlotte and accepted a job caring for animals in a kennel.
During this time, she was drawn to grooming and began studying under professional groomers. She felt such pride in helping animals look and feel their best that she decided to further her education by completing a grooming program. She finds great joy in bringing out the beauty and personality of each animal through grooming.
She currently shares her home with three dogs and two cats, who are the loves of her life!
DJ grew up in the small town of Albemarle, NC. He also went to North Carolina State University where he majored in Zoology. DJ has a love for everything science and animals. He is very passionate about understanding animal behavior to better care for them. This translates over to making sure all our veterinary patients have the most stress-free visit possible!
DJ shares his home with his wife, Emily, and their two furry boys, Mason, a pit mix, and Merlin, a golden/dachshund mix.
